A Disruptive Force in Social Change Throughout Chicago Communities

Through our comprehensive programs, we provide more than just job training and workforce development—we offer a gateway to opportunity. From mentorship and coaching to targeted events and workshops and hands-on exposure to trade and construction careers, we equip our participants with the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to thrive.

Making a Real Difference in Chicago

We are disruptors, yes—but disruptors with a purpose. We believe in the power of education and mentorship to uplift, to inspire, and to ignite change. And through our dedication to empower and development, we are reshaping the narrative, one success story at a time throughout Chicago’s South Side.

Investing in South Side Partnerships

For our youth, we go beyond traditional education by teaching them practical skills such as working with hand tools. This hands-on training not only equips them with valuable technical abilities but also instills a sense of confidence and self-reliance. But we don't stop there. We actually take our youth on field trips to places they may have never been before, whether it's exploring virtual reality establishments or visiting museums. For our adult learners, we offer real-world training tailored to meet the demands of today's job market. We collaborate with our partners: Kingdom Construction of Chicago, Work Ready Chicago, DNA Construction, and Boys2Men Community Foundation to deliver programs that focus not just on acquiring skills but on building practical, resume-enhancing experiences that attract and maintain employment. Whether it's through internships, apprenticeships, or hands-on projects, we provide adults with the tools they need to succeed in the workforce.

Our nonprofit is dedicated to providing individuals of all ages with the resources, support, and opportunities they need to chart their own path to success. By combining practical training with exposure to new experiences, we give youth a better path forward and adults the tools they need to build fulfilling careers and achieve their dreams.

Chicago’s building industry creates 1st-ever loan fund to help minority biz

Related Midwest, which earlier raised the diversity hiring bar with what amounts to a community benefits agreement governing “The 78” development, now lifts the bar higher. It has assembled building industry players to create a first-of-its kind loan fund guaranteeing capital for left out minority- and women-owned businesses.
